Traffic Case Records in Republic County
A Republic County traffic record can live in three places. State-law infractions and tied cases belong to Republic County District Court. Belleville ordinance traffic and parking matters run through Belleville Municipal Court. A district payment may also flow through the Kansas Central Payment Center. That service handles search and payment only, not the full court file.
Before searching, read the ticket. Check the issuing agency, the court, and the cited law or ordinance. For a district case, use Kansas CaseSearch. For a city matter, contact the municipal clerk. Use the Central Payment Center only when it supports your record. A blank result in one system never cancels a citation. Call the court printed on the notice. Keep the original document.
Republic Traffic Citation Search Fields
The Central Payment Center search source shows the supported citation workflow.

The two search tools want different data. On CaseSearch, pick District, choose a search type, type the term, and select Republic. The county shows up under the code RP. Citation Number sits among the search types, next to case number and name options.
| System | Search field | Use |
|---|---|---|
| CaseSearch | Court and County | District and Republic |
| CaseSearch | Search Type | Citation Number or another valid key |
| CaseSearch | File dates | Optional limits |
| CPC | Citation or Case Number | Required text for citation search |
| CPC | Date of birth | Required as MM/DD/YYYY |
| CPC | Name or driver-license route | Alternate supported search |
The CPC page also offers name and driver-license search routes for supported records. Its Social Security number, plate, and business fields are disabled. They are not public search methods. Keep private DOB or license data off public forums. Enter that information only on the official form, and only for your own case.
Republic County Traffic Ticket Lookups
If the first search fails, work the other channels. Start with CaseSearch for a state district record. Next, try the Central Payment Center court search for a supported payment record. Still nothing? Call Republic County District Court at 785-527-7234, or use the courthouse terminal at 1815 M Street in Belleville. A Belleville city ticket goes to Municipal Court at 785-527-2288.
- Read the court and citation number from the ticket.
- Search the matching state or city channel.
- Check spelling, date of birth format, and case or citation number.
- Call CPC at 785-260-6105 for a payment-service issue.
- Confirm the date, amount, and next act with the named court.
Tickets from other cities go through the applicable city clerk. CaseSearch does not promise municipal coverage. A KORA request can seek a specific ticket or docket record, but it cannot lift restrictions or move an appearance date.
Republic Traffic Volume in FY2025
Official Kansas tables count 960 Republic County traffic filings in fiscal year 2025. Traffic dispositions totaled 974. The two numbers can differ. A disposition may close a case filed in an earlier year. The larger figure is no conflict. The disposition row holds 10 deferred or diversion entries. It also lists 104 dismissals, 846 guilty pleas, and 14 other outcomes. The published row lists no jury or court trials.
Treat these as aggregate court statistics. They name no ticket holder and prove no outcome in a single Republic County case. The filing table's component headings can shift when pulled from the PDF, so rely on the fiscal-year total for the headline number. For category detail, consult the official table itself.
Traffic Court Dates in Republic County
The citation or summons comes first. Read it for the appearance date. CaseSearch may display public hearing information. The Kansas Hearing Reminders service sends reminders once you register. Neither tool excuses you from the written notice or a later order. If a setting changes or looks unclear, confirm it with the correct clerk.
| Court | Republic County District Court or the named municipal court |
|---|---|
| Case key | Citation number or court case number, such as the assigned RP county record |
| Date and time | The current setting shown by the notice or confirmed entry |
| Setting type | Appearance, status, plea, motion, or trial as the court states |
| Location | The place printed on the notice, confirmed before travel |
Belleville Municipal Court normally convenes on the fourth Monday of each month. It meets at 4 p.m. in the City Council Room. That recurring schedule is not proof of your case date. Call 785-527-2288. The district court offers no standalone public daily docket. The notice, portal, terminal, and clerk form the practical confirmation chain.
Belleville Traffic Uses a City Docket
Belleville's official municipal page lists city traffic, parking, nuisance codes, and certain ordinance misdemeanors as its court's workload. Scott Condray serves as municipal judge, and Tiffiny Sasser as the part-time court clerk. The page posts contact, schedule, and payment instructions. It offers no online citation lookup or payment form.
Pay at the Belleville City Office or mail payment to P.O. Box 280, Belleville, KS 66935. Call first. Do not assume Central Payment Center coverage, and never treat a blank CaseSearch result as an answer. The city page asks that continuance requests arrive 48 hours before court, though its linked form does not always load, so use the phone instead. A request is just a request. The court must confirm it before anything is granted.
Paying a Ticket vs Fighting It
K.S.A. 8-2118 draws the line between paying and contesting. Before the stated appearance, you may file an accepted written appearance, waive trial, enter a guilty or no-contest plea, and pay the fine and costs. The statute then treats payment without a written waiver as an appearance, a trial waiver, and a no-contest plea. That is a big consequence for a simple payment. A dishonored or incomplete payment satisfies nothing.
| If paying | If contesting |
|---|---|
| Use only the method the court accepts. | Follow the appearance instructions. |
| Confirm the full amount and service fee. | Contact the court before the date. |
| Keep the receipt and case number. | Do not pay on the assumption trial is preserved. |
| Verify that the payment posted. | Treat a continuance as pending until granted. |
Missed date: Do not ignore it. Contact the court on the citation. Kansas law provides notice and compliance steps, possible added fees, and potential driving-privilege action.
Need help with your ticket? The Republic County clerk can walk you through procedure and payment options. What the clerk cannot do is tell you which plea to enter. That choice stays with you. Under K.S.A. 8-2110, a missed ticket does not trigger an instant suspension. The statute lays out steps first. You get mailed notice and time to comply. Added fees may follow, and then notice goes to the Division of Vehicles.
Republic Statutory Traffic Fine Examples
The Kansas traffic-infraction statute source supplies the fine examples below.

Statute sets the baseline. K.S.A. 8-2118 lists representative traffic fines. Treat those numbers as examples, not a final quote for a Republic County ticket. Court costs, local ordinance schedules, school or construction zones, repeat conduct, and later court action can all push the total higher.
| Example | Statutory amount |
|---|---|
| Unsafe speed | $75 |
| 1 to 10 mph over | $45 |
| 11 to 20 mph over | $45 plus $6 for each mph over 10 |
| Traffic-control signal | $75 |
| Improper parking | $45 |
| Texting or device violation | $60 |
No published Republic local fine and cost schedule exists online. Read your citation. Then get a current amount straight from the court it names. The statutory table explains the law. It will not calculate your balance.
Two Records: Court File and Driver File
Two files follow one traffic ticket. The Republic County court record and the state driver file are separate. Different offices keep them. The Clerk of the District Court, or a municipal clerk, holds the citation case: docket events, settings, pleas, orders, payments, and disposition. The state licensing agency keeps the driver record on its own system. Central Payment Center handles some court payment searches. It does not merge these two custodians. Want proof of what happened in court? Use the court docket. It shows which court heard the case, what date was set, and what disposition was entered. Licensing-agency questions go to that agency. This split is about record ownership only. It never changes the citation, a court order, or the statutory notice process.
Traffic Record Copy Fees
Budget for the extras. CPC adds a 5 percent card convenience fee, with a $1 minimum. There is also a $1 e-check fee. Those service charges sit apart from the fine itself, from court costs, and from any fee for a court-record copy. Before mailing anything, confirm the case is supported. Then send payment to Kansas Courts Central Payment Center, P.O. Box 750200, Topeka, KS 66675-0200, and include the party name, case number, and county.
| Item | Verified amount |
|---|---|
| CPC card service | 5%, $1 minimum |
| CPC e-check service | $1 |
| Republic court plain copy | Not located in official sources |
| Certified traffic record | Not located in official sources |
Which clerk you call depends on the court. Ask the Republic clerk for a district copy. Ask the relevant city clerk for a municipal one. A payment receipt only proves a transaction. A certified disposition or order must come through the court's record process. For the wider file request path, see Republic County court case records.
